 Reclaim Your Life

Our Next Retreat is.... April 14-21, 2018

If you’ve lived through a traumatic experience, you may be suffering from a myriad of physical and/or psychological symptoms that seem overwhelming or relentless at times.

  • You may struggle with anxiety, over-the-top feelings, frightening memories and/or feeling numb and shutdown.
  • Feeling alone, not able to trust others or certain situations, you may find yourself over-reacting, hyper-vigilant and unable to accomplish what you need to.
  • You may also often feel depressed and hopeless.

Sometimes trauma responses stem from a single, often dramatic, incident. These can be events where the victim was powerless over the situation, unable to get away or create safety.

This includes developmental trauma that incorporates adverse childhood experiences such as neglect and abuse.

Abuse and neglect during the early years often creates low self-esteem and chronic negative expectations as well as difficulty feeling safe and trusting others, and a need to control people and situations. Creating intimacy and meaningful relationships is often difficult.

Trauma and PTSD can also include traumatic events that happened to loved ones.

At Quest, our highly trained facilitators can help you understand the trauma and your reactions and give you skills and tools to:

  • Calm your nervous system,
  • Make healthy choices and
  • Move forward in your life.
